Welcome! Barefoot Puppet Theatre performs for children and family audiences in theatres, schools, libraries, children's museums and more. Our shows bring to life world folktales, classic tales with a twist and original works with scripts that are imaginative, well researched and fun! All shows feature:

• Original puppets designed and crafted in our studio in Richmond, Virginia.
• Custom-built staging for each of our shows.
• Original music written and recorded by Washington, D.C. musician Eric Weinberg.
• Learning guides for all school performances.
• Lots of audience participation.

Notable venues include The Smithsonian Discovery Theater, The Puppet Showplace Theatre in Boston, The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, and The Walters Art Museum in Baltimore. (We've even been invited back to Broadway numerous times…Broadway, Virginia!)
